Getting started with HBN Announcement Bar

HBN Announcement Bar lets you display scrolling announcement messages across your Shopify storefront.

Follow these steps to set it up.

1. Create your announcement messages

Open HBN Announcement Bar from your Shopify Admin.

Select “Manage messages” to:

• Add or edit announcement text
• Reorder your messages
• Configure available message features
• Save your changes

Free stores can publish up to 2 simple messages. Pro stores can publish up to 10 messages and access additional features.

2. Add the app block to your theme

In Shopify Admin, go to:

Online Store → Themes → Customize

Open the section where you want the announcement bar to appear, then add the “HBN announcement bar” app block.

The app block must be added to the theme that is currently published if you want it to appear on your live storefront.

3. Customize the appearance

Use the Shopify Theme Editor to configure:

• Background color
• Text color
• Font size
• Vertical padding
• Space between messages
• Marquee speed
• Pause on hover
• Accessibility label

Message content and Pro message features are managed inside the HBN Announcement Bar app, not in the Theme Editor.

4. Check your storefront

Save the Theme Editor and open your storefront in a new browser tab.
